Nathaniel 444 left a will bequeathing money to a kinsman John Neve, presumably linking through his sister Sarah’s marriage to Edmund Neve.

The forename Nathaniel is comparatively rare among the Gotts known to have lived in Norfolk and therefore tempts a connection with the Nathaniel Gotts who married Elizabeth FOX at Trunch 4 August 1699, whose children were baptised at Ingworth between 1702 and 1710, among them John bp 1 May 1707.

This Nathaniel may be connected to the Nathaniel born Erpingham 4 April 1655 to Thomas Gotts & Amy BUND, who married Erpingham 6 October 1646. This Thomas is possibly the one bp Erpingham 2 February 1623 to George GOTTES (sic) & Agnes SURFLING, who married Erpingham 21 January 1620. He may well have read Shakespeare - quite a hit at the time.
